I am going to try blogging on here since I need a way for family and friends to look at pics of my beautiful children.
2009 has been a year of great joy, along with its up's and down's, but life would certainly be boring without those.
Winter 2009 there was a lot of hockey....kind of a blur now, lots of fun with friends old and new. We managed to ski at Giants Ridge a couple of times in March while John ski patrolled.
Spring brought us a rollercoaster of sorts with John being layed off from MinnTac. It allowed him to stay home throughout most of the summer and provide Daddy Daycare and lots of golf lessons to Megan and Tommy. Megan also played in a spring/summer hockey league on the MN Northern Wings out of Duluth. We went to three tournaments throughout the spring and summer, all of which we camped at.
We also purchased what I call a ghetto pop up camper....we paid $200 bucks, and well got our $200 bucks out of it. Hopefully we will be able to upgrade next spring.
July was a busy month, we camped at McCarthy Beach for the Fourth of July, watched the fireworks from our boat, and roasted lots of marshmallows. Megan was baptised in the Catholic church here in Hibbing, it was her own decision and I am very proud of her. We traveled the day after to Michigan to visit my family there, and my family that lives in NC met us there. We camped on this trip too both on the way down and on the way back, the UP sure does have some beautiful campgrounds...but being from MI I am kind of partial.
Fall has brought two growing children, Megan in 6th grade, and Tommy in 5th grade. They are both at the Assumption Catholic School here in Hibbing. We all are very thankful for this. Megan is almost as tall as me and Tommy is catching us. They both have bigger feet or the same size as me....explaining who took my shoes...
